Kevin McGourty is President and founder of iNPD Center, Inc., a new product development and technology resource center whose mission is to help businesses create new customers by turning ideas into commercial successes.

Prior to iNPD, Kevin served as the Director of Product Development and Management at SeaSpace Corporation and VP of Product Planning at Varitronic Systems (formerly trading on NASDAQ as VRSY) in a variety of senior management roles including new product planning, marketing, operations, R&D and engineering. Kevin started his career in the Silicon Valley at GTE Sylvania and Eaton Corporation as an electronic design engineer in the defense and telecommunication industries.

Kevin holds a BS degree in Electronic Engineering from Cal Poly SLO, and graduate studies in Engineering and Business Management from the University of Santa Clara, CA. Kevin is a certified New Product Development Professional (NPDP) and served as President of the Southern California Chapter of PDMA. Currently he serves on AeA’s Product Development Roundtable committee. He teaches new product development management courses at UCSD Extension and is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Connect.
